Share the tree’s history

Useful details include the type of tree if known, its approximate size and when work was last carried out. If you have older photographs, they may help explain the previous appearance. There is no need to guess a species or a date; say when information is uncertain.

Describe the surrounding space, nearby buildings and any access restrictions. Photographs from the ground can show the overall tree and its setting without requiring you to climb or get close to damaged branches.

Discuss suitability before choosing the work
